1) Justification by Faith

Money, power, position, and influence. These are all things that the world deems important. This results in an achievement centered society where your success is measured by how good you are compared to someone else. 

This line of thinking has promoted a generation of parents that are consumed by their jobs and children who are consumed by academics, athletics and the like. Or, they become convinced that they just aren’t good enough and give up trying.

All of these patterns for living can get transferred into other areas of people’s lives, including how they practice their faith. We live in an era that prioritizes work and results, causing our understanding about how works affect our salvation to become distorted.
